Following the exciting news related to the U.S. and China negotiations that find China agreeing to buy like 500 million tons of soybeans and now corn is being added to the list. I can see better soybean and corn prices in the future. This will excite farm land buyers and the land prices will follow the excitement. It seems to make good business sense to be pro-active in the area of farm land purchases prior to rather than after the influence of better crop prices. The rational comes from an old adage, buy on the low side and sell on the high side.
