Rochester MN Real Estate With the month of July now in the books, the Southeast Minnesota Realtors recently released the latest housing data from last month, which as you might expect, was more of the same of what we’ve been seeing for most of 2017, and even in 2016  for that matter.

Once again, the median home sales price in the Rochester area increased slightly year-over-year last July, this time jumping by 2.2%. In addition, inventory also took a major hit compared to this time last year, falling 22.1% to just 1,406 units.

With Minnesota having such drastic seasonal changes from a weather standpoint, a common question we get as expert home sellers is when is the best time to sell a Rochester home.

While all sorts of different variables go into selling a home, it is true that more homes tend to sell during the spring and summer than any other time of year. Discovery Square Downtown RochesterTwo major mixed-use projects are under review for downtown Rochester—the first being a 156-unit apartment building to be developed on First Avenue in the heart of the city; and the second being an even larger project that would include a 200-room hotel and a 120-unit apartment building that would be located at near the intersection of West Center and First Avenue NW. If approved, the hotel-apartment project would also include 14,000 square feet of retail space and an additional parking facility to accommodate residents, hotel guests, and shoppers.

Each of the preliminary plans would no doubt complement the May Clinic’s spectacular new Destination Medical Center development, which is a 20-year, $6 billion project that aims to redefine Rochester as

Luxury Homes iN Rochester MNConsistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the entire U.S., it’s no wonder why luxury homes occupy a fairly sizable portion of Rochester’s very active real estate market.
